Bankura Christian College Anti-Ragging Cell & Vigilance Framework
Bankura Christian College ensures a completely ragging-free environment in the college campus and hostel premises. Our college believes in an easeful space where newly admitted students unhesitatingly participate in various academic and co-curricular activities alongside seniors.
Any activity — verbal or written, physical or psychological — causing harm, distress, or damage to any student is strictly prohibited. The Anti-Ragging Cell minutely monitors the campus and hostel grounds throughout the year to guarantee safety and compliance with statutory zero-tolerance regulations.
In accordance with UGC guidelines, complaints can be lodged directly via the website, through the official complaint register at the Principal's Office, or dropped inside the designated Grievance Box on the Ground Floor of the Main Building.
Definition & Regulatory Scope
As notified under the 3rd Amendment in UGC Regulations, ragging includes any act of physical or mental abuse (including bullying and exclusion) targeted at another student on the grounds of colour, race, religion, caste, ethnicity, gender (including transgender), sexual orientation, appearance, nationality, regional origin, linguistic identity, place of birth/residence, or economic background.
